Colour Coded Twin Bins
Colour coded "Twin Bins" to aid the separation / segregation
of waste types. These highly visual bins send a strong clear instruction
to staff that only specific waste types can be placed into the appropriate
colour coded bin.
Wastes
can be segregated by staff as it is generated and placed it into bins
through a colour coded waste streams e.g. only soft clinical wastes in
the yellow bins, dry recyclables in the white bins etc.
Sharps Containers
Sharps
containers are available in a variety of sizes, 0.5, 1.8, 3, 5, 10, 22
& 30 Litre. Fittings for securing to the wall or pole etc are also available.
All containers are UN3291 approved in compliance with the ADR European
Agreement on the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road.
Rigid Puncture Resistant Containers
Animal
Remedies, medicines, pharmaceutical wastes should be placed into the appropriate
rigid puncture resistant containers. In Northern Ireland these containers
are generally black and in the South the usual colour coded lid is purple.
Purple Lidded Containers
Cytostatic
and/or Cytotoxic medicines are always placed into a purple lidded container
regardless of whether your business in in Northern or Southern Ireland.
Yellow Bags
UN3291
approved yellow bags are used to store soft, non sharp clinical wastes.
