ELECTRONIC WASTE DISPOSAL (WEEE)One of the fastest growing waste streams throughout Europe is that of waste electrical equipment. From toasters to televisions, laptops to laboratory equipment companies and organisations have a responsibility to properly dispose of waste electronics in a compliant manor. Many components within old electrical equipment can be recycled or reused. Other components such as refrigeration gases or cathode ray screens are classified as hazardous and require specialised treatment. Other less obvious hazardous wastes from offices, labs etc are fluorescent tubes, batteries, hand held equipment, calculators, desktop lights, and printer cartridges. VEM is permitted to collect these wastes and redundant pieces of equipment and transfer them to the appropriate facilities for suitable compliant processing. We will remove the problem of dealing with small amounts of hazardous waste and ensure you remain compliant with the hazardous waste regulations.
